About

"Hand knitting brings back our ancestors craftmanship"

q-bo27 started in 2012, with the objective of creating a brand that would focus on designing and producing timeless handmade pieces of high quality, while at the same time, contributing to social improvement.

Our pledge is to use either 100% pure fibres or those treated with natural dyes. Relationships with the providers get us closer to nature and inspires us to be more creative, as if getting in touch with our ancestors through traditions.

At q-bo27 we design and through antique techniques, we create contemporary pieces. Each process is completed in an artisan way, minding the timings that these techniques require. We take care of each individual piece so it keeps its shape and lengthens its durability.

We take time choosing the most appropiate colour, texture and shape for each piece because we want you to feel comfortable in it when it becomes your second skin.

PHILOSOPHY

We work hand-in-hand with local suppliers and artisans, supporting local economy. We are proud of our long tradition in the merino wool production, which has set a price and quality reference. With our products, we want to relaunch the artisan way of life.

We feel excited about bringing benefits through a tight collaboration with people and a strong respect for our environment. We want to be characterized by a laborious and enthralling production process to obtain the final output, making it unique and exclusive.

ROSA GALLEGO VIÑUELA

Rosa Gallego Viñuela (León, Spain) is a designer, knitter and founder of q-bo27. She focuses her work on the respect for the environment, the economic and social cooperation with suppliers and artisans, and on the use of handmade techniques in order to create timeless and trend-less apparel.

"I begin to weave in my childhood, guided by my mum, and I haven't quitted since then. It is my passion, it is the way I express myself. By that time, I could't afford to buy wool fabric, so I used to go up to the attic, where my father stored a big bag of coloured fabrics to clean his motorbike. I chose those I liked the most. Then, I tied them and knitted them. Little by little, I learned new techniques, being inspired by the different shapes and colours than can be seen in the natural environment and by artists like Geta Bratescu."
